Thutmose III was the sixth Egyptian pharaoh ruler of the 18th Dynasty, with a reign lasting from 1479 to 1425 BC. He is considered to be one of Egypt's greatest pharaohs because of his excellence in warfare, capturing nearly 350 cities from the Near East, Nubia and Euphrates. In all, he made seventeen military campaigns, turning Egypt into a superpower. His father's wife was also a well know ruler, Queen Hatshepsut.
