Cycladic

The early Greek Cycladic Islands flourished artistically during the Bronze Age. The artists from this region in Greece created a geometric art dominated by abstraction, harmonious proportions, and pure volumes and lines. The idols (originally executed in marble) are the most accomplished forms. The heads are almost oval in shape, the only projection being the nose. The bodies are less abstract since the realistic features are more accentuated.
