The Danaid was executed during a period when Auguste Rodin (French 1840-1917) was exploring the female nude in recumbent postures. It is similar to the better-known Andromeda, which was created in the same year. This licensed reproduction by Auguste Rodin is now showcased in the collection of the Musée du Docteur Faure, France. Made from resin, gallery quality reproduction, 9"H x 17"W x 11"D, 16 lbs. The Louvre Workshop is world renown for its high fidelity reproductions and superior molding techniques dating back to 1794.
