The Goddess Maat is the Goddess of truth, right, and orderly conduct. It is said that in the judgment of the dead she holds the scales which weigh the human heart. In this Egyptian wall hanging relief fragment from the Valley of the Queens in Egypt, we see the Goddess Maat making an offering to the seated Hathor who is the Goddess of joy and motherhood. Made from compound stone, aged sandstone finish, 7"H x 10"L.
