Ishtar / Inanna from Mesopotamia, In ancient times, she was addressed as Mother of the Fruitful Breast, Queen of Heaven, Creator of People, and Mother of Deities. The Babylonian mother goddess--known as Ishtar, Inanna, and Ashtart--is here depicted in her characteristic breast-offering pose as the purveyor of all nourishment and fertility. The original Mesopotamian art sculpture (c. 2000 BC) is part of collection in the Louvre Museum, Paris.
Made from compound stone with an aged stone finish and a marble base, 11.5"H.
