The Bayeux Tapestry is a unique historical record (230 feet long), relating the events leading up to the Norman invasion of England, and culminating in a major description of the Battle of Hastings in 1066 between the armies of Harold, King of England, and William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy. This section of the Bayeux Tapestry illustrates this scene, "The Armada", in which the Norman fleet are seen crossing the English Channel and landing near Hastings, Sussex.

Made from cotton, includes hanging rod and screws, imported from Europe, 28"H x 74"W.
