Designed as a funerary sculpture for the Medici tomb, Lorenzo conveys a sense of grandeur and magnificence in the guise of a Roman military hero. In the original multi-figural sculptural grouping for the tomb, the personifications of Dusk and Dawn accompany him as representations of his power for all eternity.

Made from bonded white marble, black marble base, imported from Italy, 5"W x 5"D x 11"H.
