Bayeux Tapestries- Pevensey
Norman invasion in 1066

The Bayeux Tapestry is a unique historical record (230 feet long), relating the events leading up to the Norman invasion of England, and culminating in a major description of the Battle of Hastings in 1066 between the armies of Harold, King of England, and William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy. This section of the Bayeux Tapestry illustrates this scene, "Pevensey", in which the Norman fleet is crossing the English Channel prior to the battle.

Made from cotton, includes hanging rod and screws, imported from Europe, 18"H x 34"W.
