During a period of global industrialization and mass production at the turn of the 20th century, William Morris advocated a return to objects and decor in the home which was not mass-produced. His influence is known as the Arts and Crafts movement. To this end, he made a wide selection of home decor items in his interior design studio such as this tapestry with an organic "trellis" pattern around the border and an abundant tree in the central panel. Made from cotton and wool, fabric backing, hidden sleeve at back for hanging, rods not included, 27"W x 44"H. Also available as 27"W x 44"H.
