Are you a romantic at heart? This tapestry illustrates the Knights of the Round Table from the legends of King Arthur, preparing to embark on their search for the Holy Grail. A group of women in the foreground--including Queen Guenevere at right who hands Sir Galahad a shield--are assisting them. Although this tapestry has a medieval theme, it was actually designed by William Morris and Company at the end of the 19th century as part of the Art and Crafts movement which advocated a return to non-mass produced interior decor. Made from cotton, imported from Europe, 26"H x 38"W. Also available as 55"H x 77"W.
