Remember The Alamo Bookends

The Alamo is widely recognized as a symbol of heroic courage in the fight against oppression. It began as a small Spanish mission, run by Franciscan Missionaries, strategically located on the El Camino Real, "The Kings Highway". The Mission was founded in 1718, but construction of the church didn't start until 1744. The infamous battle at The Alamo peaked at dawn on March 6,1836 under the attack of the Mexican army, lead by general Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. All of the Alamo occupants died except women, children and one man. The most famous defender present was Davy Crockett. It was the battle-cry "Remember the Alamo" that later spurred on the forces of Sam Houston at San Jacinto. This priceless heritage of Texas was designated as a national landmark in 1960.

These "Save The Alamo" architecture bookends are made of a compound resin and measure 5.5"L x 5"W x 5.5"H / each.
