The Greek myth of Perseus and Medusa is one of the most classic stories of ancient Greece. In the tradition of the Italian Renaissance which celebrated the art and myth of Classical Antiquity, Cellini recreates the myth triumphantly as Perseus raises Medusa's head in victory.
