Aphrodite (Venus) crouches as she wrings water from her hair after emerging from the sea. Now in the Archeological Museum of Rhodes, Greece, it is a popular sculpture type with another surviving fragmentary version in the Louvre Museum, Paris.
Made from white Carrara bonded marble, imported from Italy, black marble base, and 10"H x 5"W x 5"L.
