These "Grand Taj Mahal Bookends" reproduce the white marble Islamic tomb of Arjuman Banu Begum, wife of the Emperor Shah Jahan of India, built between 1630 to 1653 at Agra. Its construction fulfilled a promise he made to his wife as she lay dying. It took more than 20,000 workers and over 23 years to construct this breath-taking palace.It is a beautiful tribute with a the smooth cascade of its dome and visually reinforcing minarets.
