Denderah Zodiac Mirror from the Temple of Hathor

Dendera Zodiac Mirror (mirror included in center but not pictured). Often the Egyptian temple ceiling was marked with the zodiac, the image of the heavens. The zodiac motif adorning the ceiling of the astronomic terrace Chapel of the New Year of the Temple of Hathor at Dendera (Late Period, ca. 300 BC) accents this adaptation.

Made from compound stone, hand painted sandstone finish, mirror included (not pictured), ready to hang, 14" x 14" square.
