In the nineteenth century, artists were obsessed by medieval legends and art. Rosetti's stained glass work glorifies the romance of King René of Anjo and Isabella of Lorraine, who married in 1420. King René, an author of poems and romances, established an "artists' colony" at his court in 1442. It reminds us how timeless love, passion and romance has been through the ages. Original is in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, England.
This stained glass reproduction is the first in a series from the Victoria and Albert Museum. Made from kiln-fired stained glass, guaranteed to never fade, made in USA, metal frame, 5"W x 7"H.
