Samurai on Galloping Horse with Flag and Sword. This mounted Samurai carries on his back a sashimono (flag) that bears the mon (family emblem) of the Ankokuji army. During the famous Battle of Sekigahara in the mid-1600, Ekei Ankokuji was on the side of Ishida Mitsunari against Tokugawa leyasu. The battle ended in favor of leyasu. Ankokuji and Mitsunari were both beheaded. Made from cold cast bronze with hand painted details, 10.5"H x 9.5"W x 3.5"D.
