JB01 - Tree Man by Jheronymus Bosch

    Tree Man-worst opinion ever
"This is an outstanding peice. A series that represents the innocence of birth, the curious corruption of that innocence and the outcome of human error and judgement. We are all born with a translucent demeanor. We come of age and with good intentions meddle with our existence trying to improve it. This leads to the third triptych panel...disaster. This painting is not about alchemy or freedom of religion, there are no beakers in the center panel, it is about humanity and its ability to cannibalize itself. This disruption begins with great intentions but ends in self indulging and evil outcomes. People think Bosch was smarter than he was. He is no scientist or progressive, just a man struggling with his own knowledge of the repeating path this species called humankind continues to repeat." -- Posted by Lori Alexander
