In Egypt, lions were worshiped.They also had their own temples and numerous spaces in which to roam. Lions usually lived on the edges of the desert, so they became known as the guardians where the sun rose and set. Egyptian Red Lion Miniature Statue is made from resin and hand painted in bright red to look like faience pottery after original museum statues. The neck has a beautiful pattern carved around it to form a lion mane. Measures 2"H x approx. 4"L.
