The Great Sphinx of Giza, Egypt was sculpted after the Egyptian Pharaoh himself from the reign of King Khafre / Chefren (4th king of 4th Dynasty, c. 2575 - c. 2465 BC). It can be viewed in its original position at Giza in front of a long walkway which leads to King Khafre's pyramid. This reproduction has meticulous detail which shows individual stones and the weathered look of the original in its location at Giza today.
