Kuan-Yin is a mother figure in Buddhism who offers compassion with the waters she pours from her vase as pictured in this Kuan-Yin statue. She also holds a rosary which illustrates her devotion to the Buddha. Followers of Buddhism celebrate the Crystal Rosary once per month like their mother goddess Kuan Yin.

This beautiful statue of KuanYin combines both imagery associated with her spiritual importance. She wears a richly red colored robe offset by ornate antique gold details.

Kuan Yin with Waters of Compassion and Rosary Statue
is made from crushed stone and resin, antique red finish with gold details, and measures 5.75"H x 3"W x 3"D approximately.

Kuan Yin, originally known as Avalokiteswara ("the Lord who regards"), is a highly revered manifestation of the Buddha who appears in Chinese scriptures around 400 a.d. Kuan Yin means "one who hears the cries of the world" and personifies the compassion of the Buddha for the needy. She is the embodiment of the yin principle. She is usually represented as a young female deity but she has the power to assume whatever form necessary in order to carry out her vow which is to appear in any way necessary to lead beings out of suffering.
