Tattoo Sugar Skull Day of the Dead

Our Tattoo Sugar Skull Day of the Dead is an adaptation of a very popular tradition in Mexican culture. During the Day of the Dead (dia de los muertos) celebration in early November, families make skull statues out of sugar and decorate them with elaborate patterns, bright colors and colorful papers. They take them to grave sites to decorate in celebration of their deceased family members. It is part of the entire festivities which celebrates life and death as a renewal.

This sugar statue adaptation is made from resin and decorated with red roses, spider webs, a spider between the eyes, and a yellow sunflower on the top of the skull. The picture shows the front and back side of the round statue. Decorations are present on all sides. Made from resin and measures 3.5"H x 3.25"W x 5.25"D.
